Our laboratory team analyses your sample and emails you a detailed PDF report. Most screens are turned around the same working day your sample arrives, but our exact turnaround times do vary by test type. Our clinical team is available for free aftercare guidance on your results whenever you need it.

Once your sample arrives at our purpose-built laboratory, it is assigned a Unique Laboratory Reference (ULR) number by our booking-in team. This reference travels with your sample through every stage of the process, ensuring complete traceability and eliminating any risk of mix-up or misidentification.
Your sample is then submitted to our highly trained analysts, who follow strict biosecurity and testing protocols at every stage. For worm egg counts, the sample is prepared and examined using microscopy to identify and quantify any parasite eggs present, reported as eggs per gram (epg). Each species of egg is identified individually, and the screen also detects coccidia and other relevant findings as standard. For PCR-based tests, samples undergo dedicated molecular analysis; for antigen-based tests, specific protein detection methods are used.
All testing is carried out entirely within our own laboratory; we never sub-contract work to third parties. This means we maintain full control over the sample and the testing standards at every stage. Every analyst undergoes rigorous training before undertaking independent testing, and once approved, participates in regular blind spot-checks and external professional development throughout their career. Your results are emailed to you as a clear, easy-to-read PDF report as soon as testing is complete.

You need to send as much sample as possible, so please fill the collection pot as fully as you can. Sending a full sample gives the most accurate result. If insufficient material is provided, the outcome can only be indicative of the actual parasite burden. Full instructions are included in every kit, and if you’re unsure about anything, our team is always happy to advise.
No, you can’t test more than one animal in the same kit. The only exceptions are puppies or kittens under three weeks old, or two birds housed together. However, our standard kits are designed for one animal. Pooling samples from multiple animals can dilute the material from each individual and, if a positive result is returned, makes it impossible to identify which animal is affected.

Yes, we do offer aftercare support. Free clinical aftercare is included as standard for all direct-access clients, with no hidden charges or tiered service levels. Our team of Registered Animal Medicines Advisors (RAMAs) is on hand to discuss your results, explain any findings and advise on appropriate next steps. Where veterinary intervention is needed, we’ll point you in the right direction.
Your kit (if your order is placed before 3pm on a working day – Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays) will be dispatched via first class post the same day. Orders placed after 3pm are dispatched the next working day. If you have an urgent requirement, please contact us and we will do our best to assist.
No, we don’t sell wormers or treatments. As an independent laboratory, we have made a deliberate decision not to sell any chemical, natural or homeopathic worming products. This ensures that our results and aftercare advice are completely impartial. Where treatment is recommended based on your results, we will advise on appropriate options and direct you to your vet as needed.
