Collect small faecal samples over three consecutive days. This is essential because parasite larvae and eggs may be shed intermittently. Therefore, samples collected over all three days are required for the lungworm screen.
During collection, keep the lungworm samples in a cool place. Do not refrigerate or freeze them.
Once your samples arrive, our trained laboratory team carries out the appropriate screening procedures. We then email your results on the next working day following arrival at our laboratory.

Where appropriate, we provide parasite identification and an assessment of the findings. If we detect no parasites above the detectable limits, we state this clearly.
Please note: Lungworm shedding can be intermittent, so a negative result does not completely exclude infection. If your dog has concerning symptoms, please consult your veterinary surgeon.
